Book Boyfriends - A Romance Weekly Post

November 4, 2014

This week the writers of Romance Weekly are answering a question posed to us by Sarah Hegger. Tell us your two favorite book boyfriends and why they are your favorite.

Hopefully, you've followed me here from Collette Cameron's site. If not, be sure to check back and see her post.

Narrowing book boyfriends down to two is pretty much impossible. The reader falls in love with the hero of nearly every romance novel she reads... How can I choose out of the many, many heroes I've followed on their journey to their own happily-ever-after?

Here goes...

Book Boyfriend #1: Cullum Murdock, - The MacGregor Brides by Nora Roberts

Why? The MacGregor Brides was the first romance novel I read. Julia and Cullum's story is third in the book, but it's my favorite. Cullum falls in love with Julia MacGregor as they restore a house together and turn it into their perfect home. He's surly, smart, and good with his hands. Family is important to him, and I just love everything about their story, dialogue, description, emotion, everything. I love the entire MacGregor Clan. If you haven't read them - check them out!

Book Boyfriend #2: Fitzwilliam Darcy, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Why? How can you NOT choose this guy? Even before Colin Firth made Mr. Darcy all sorts of shades of hotness, I fell in love with this character. He's intelligent, he's brooding and arrogant - the original bad boy of literature, he likes Elizabeth in all her cleverness, he loves his sister, and he can admit he's wrong. The growth he experiences over the course of the book is perfect. I love the interactions between Elizabeth and him, and how he helped her family. Such a perfect hero.

Now, let's head over to visit the lovely Vicki Mixon, and see her choices for the best book boyfriends.

Feel free to share yours in the comments below. :-)

Until next time, Happy Reading!
