So, today, my novella Rekindled, releases. Perfect timing too... While it is a winter novella, it takes place just before Spring Training begins. With the freezing cold weather that accompanies January and February, I'm MORE THAN READY for Spring to get here. :-)
Pitchers and catchers report for spring training before the rest of their teammates, usually mid-February. By now (March 1st) the rest of the team has been there for a bit, and they're ready to take to the field in some games. My favorite team, the Philadelphia Phillies, play their first game today against the University of Tampa.
Regular season begins in April. I'm looking forward to their home opener against the Reds. Warmer temperatures will follow, daffodils will begin to bloom, and before we know it, Spring will be here.
Dealing with the cold will be easier this month, now that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. :-)
